Original Character Appreciation Month

Greetings, boys and ghouls! Here is a community project for you to take part in. ~CapnFidelMorgan has decreed February Original Character Appreciation Month. I know, who the hell does he think he is. But this is a good idea :V

All you have to do is show your admiration of a fellow artists' creativity by drawing your rendition of one of their OCs. Support characters that aren't named "Maximus The Hedgehog" or whatever(that was a random name, though I have a feeling he exists)

you know how when you play a really fun game for the first time and for a while it's just so fun and you feel kind of sad that once you get used to it it won't be as good? I felt that with Super Mario 64, House of the Dead 2 and this weekend with Little Big Planet.
Don't get me wrong, it's still a brilliant and funny game but those first couple hours of just standing there with your buddies and using the arm controls to dance, or slapping someone off a cliff even though you're supposed to be cooperating...absolutely hilarious. My brother got a PS3 for christmas and if you have one give the game a try. Once I get some more time I'm going to try the level making tutorials and hopefully create something decent.

ANYWAY

actually that's it, I just wanted to clear my journal. Happy new year! My resolution is to actually draw shit in 2009 instead of just talking about it.. but we'll see what happens when the new semester starts.

What Are You Afraid Of? - Winners

EDIT: I actually forgot to put one of the entries I received on Friday up on my journal D: so I'm going to leave em up as features for a while. check them out!

First of all, congratulations to the big winner tonight, Senator Barack Obama! And good on John McCain for such a gracious concession speech.. even after such an ugly campaign I really can't dislike the guy(but the crowd was full of assholes, it was disrespectful to yell insults at Obama while McCain was trying to pledge his support to the guy) Obama's speech was friggin magical. Anyway, here's hoping for better times up ahead.

The mood was well established and the point of the entry was immediately obvious as well as being identifiable(I also thought hiding under the sheets would protect me as a kid).
